Normal blood and Haemonetics Abnormal QC material may be used
with the Citrated Multichannel cartridge to verify the performance of
the citrated reagents. This may be performed by the laboratory to
verify appropriate handling and storage conditions upon receipt of new
cartridges, whenever cartridges are exposed to adverse environmental
conditions, or at pre-determined intervals based on laboratory policies.

Principles of the Procedure

The TEG Hemostasis System Abnormal QC Vial Test Kit contains a
preparation of citrated animal plasma. Compared to normal blood, the
Abnormal QC material simulates a lower MA. This control contains no
human material.
For in vitro diagnostic use. For professional use only.
Reagents
Abnormal QC Material, consisting of twelve 1 mL vials of lyophilized
citrated bovine plasma and twelve 1 mL vials of diluent water for
reconstituting the lyophilized material.

Warnings and Precautions

For In-Vitro Diagnostic Use
Hazards
The QC material is potentially hazardous in case of ingestion,
inhalation, skin contact and eye contact. It contains animal source
material; therefore, it should be treated as potentially infectious. Use
universal precautions for handling potentially bio-hazardous material.
It may cause adverse effects for the environment if discarded
improperly.
Sources of Reagent Error
• Sealed vials should be refrigerated (2° C to 8° C) when not in use.
