• TEG
6s Analyzer (Source: Haemonetics) – see User Manual for
®
instructions for use.
• Citrated Multichannel Cartridge (Source: Haemonetics) – contains the
following dried reagents: Kaolin, RapidTEG, Kaolin with Heparinase,
and Functional Fibrinogen, all with dried calcium chloride.
• Transfer pipette(s) (Samco Scientific #212 or equivalent)
Procedure for Running a Citrated Multichannel
Cartridge with Abnormal QC
1. Prepare the Abnormal QC sample according to the following
instructions:
a. Allow one control vial and one diluent water vial to sit for
approximately 10 minutes to equilibrate to room temperature.
b. Make sure the lyophilized material is on the bottom of the control
vial. You may need to tap the vial a few times.
c. Remove the seal and stopper of the control vial, taking care to
avoid sharp metal edges.
d. Slowly pour the contents of the diluent water vial into the control
vial. Make sure no water drips out.
e. Re-insert the stopper into the control vial.
f. Hold the stopper in place, vigorously shake the control vial until
fully reconstituted, and then let it stand for 5 minutes at room
temperature.
g. Shake the control vial vigorously again and let stand 5 more
minutes.
2. Remove the Citrated Multichannel cartridge pouch from refrigerated
storage.
