POWER CONNECTION
Verify the power source, phase and breaker size is
compatible with A/C serial plate information and the
electrical circuit is dedicated only for use of the A/C unit.
If unsure about power, contact a licensed electrician.
A/C unit is equipped with 8' of power cable. Extension
power cable cannot exceed 25' and must be rated to
operate A/C unit.
A/C unit is supplied with a factory-installed plug
requiring the exact receptacle to match exact plug,
circuit size and power. Cutting the power plug on A/C
unit will void warranty.
CAUTION! Read the following safeguards
carefully before installing the A/C unit:
1.
Do not operate or install the A/C unit in a potentially
explosive, combustible or corrosive gas atmosphere.
2. Keep the A/C system away from flammable
materials and open flame.
3. To avoid electrical shock, keep the A/C unit away
from direct contacts with water and any liquids. Do
not touch the system with wet hands.
4. Ensure floor is level, free of vibration and strong
enough to support weight on A/C unit.
5. Do not move the system while it is operating. Before
moving, turn unit off and unplug from power source.
6. Do not tilt or overturn the unit. This could damage
the compressor.
7.
Do not place objects on top of the unit.
8. Do not insert hands or any other objects into the
cold air supply chutes.
9. Do not operate A/C unit with service doors open.
APPLY ELECTRICAL POWER
Once power is engaged by plugging in the system
and/or turning breaker on, the A/C display will show the
current room temperature. The unit is set to OFF, and
the fan is set to default position. A two-minute time
delay starts, indicated by a flashing "F" on the display. If
nothing appears on the display, refer to Troubleshooting
on pages 5-7.

1. ON/OFF Button – Pressing this button engages or
shuts down the A/C system. All settings selected
are stored in the microprocessor board even if the
power is lost, including ON/OFF selection. Refer
to Troubleshooting on pages 5-6 if the A/C unit is
sounding an alarm after selecting ON.
2. MODE Button – Depressing the mode button selects
the choice of operations. COOL is used for cooling
with compressor operation and will flash when the
compressor is running. COOL will not flash when the
room temperature is equal to or lower than the set
temperature or the system is timing out. "Fan" is used
for air circulation without compressor operation.
3. F/C – This selects how room temperature and set
point are displayed on the control panel. Choose
between Fahrenheit or Celsius. Fahrenheit is the
factory default. This indicator will flash when the system
is in timeout to prevent compressor from short cycling.
4. FAN Button – Pressing this cycles the supply air fan
between auto fan and fan on. When the system is in
auto fan, the supply air fan only operates when the
compressor is running. When the fan is turned on, it runs
continuously as long as the unit is in the ON position. The
fan speed window is blank on these models.
