Translation of the original instructions
- Replace the hydraulic oil every 12 months, or more often depending on the use of the Spotlift. Use imperatively the
oil LUBRILOG L HV22 (GYS Reference 053397, 1 liter container). 2.5 liters are necessary to completely replace the oil
in the pump. Always use a funnel equipped with a filter to prevent impurities or rubbish from entering the tank, which
could compromise the lifetime of the pump. If the tank overflows, clean the impacted work area.
- Clean the pump's exhaust silencer every 6 months by blowing compressed air. Replace it
if necessary.
- Grease or lubricate the chain with an appropriate product every 2 months, or more often
depending on the use of the Spotlift.
- Clean the SPOT LIFT at least once a week to remove the dust and dirt that could impair
the good function of the device in the long term. Use self-cleaning dust cloths. Do not use
water nor flammable/corossive liquids.
- Check that the information plate is still legible.
- The reparations must be done by qualified personnel. The spare parts are available from
the GYS manufacturer.
- Each device that seems damaged in any way, that does not work properly, or that has
parts missing must be immediately put out of service.
- Don't use it if you notice that some parts are broken, bent, cracked or damaged.
- The service life of the jack depends on maintenance. A lack of maintenance will lead to
premature jack wear.
SAFETY MEASURES
SPOT LIFT is designed for the repair of standard size vehicles only. The jack allows the bodyshop operator to safely lift
one half of a vehicle.
The SPOT LIFT must be used by properly trained operators, authorised and familiar with this manual. The instructions
must be read carefully before using the SPOT LIFT. The user must work in accordance with the instructions.
A safety perimeter must be defined in which no one must be present during the lifting operation (minimum 2m around
the vehicle to allow escape if necessary).
The lifting of persons or other objects is not allowed. No one must be inside the vehicle to be lifted.
The jack must be used inside a work area and protected from bad weather (wind, rain and negative temperature).
The operating temperature range is between 5°C and 60°C maximum. In case of prolonged storage in a place where
the temperature is below 0°C, allow at least 12 hours before use by storing it in the workplace.
Do not use in excessively humid conditions. The device must not be submerged. Water going inside the device may
damage the pneumatic system.
The pneumatic system must be equipped with a moisture filter (not supplied with the jack).
Never use the lift on uneven surfaces / slopes. The ground must be flat and strong enough to prevent the wheels from
sinking under the weight of the load.
The maximum weight of the vehicle must not exceed 2500 kg.
Do not lift a load greater than the permissible jack load noted on the information plate.
Monitor the load to avoid misplacement of the jack or vehicle. To make a correction, lower the load and correctly
reposition the jack relative to the vehicle.
Before lifting the load, make sure that the fork is stable and that the product is supported.
