4. Manual transmitter calls
In addition to automatic time synchronisation with the DCF 77 time signal
transmitter, manual time synchronisation is also possible. This is known as a
'transmitter call'.
To do this, press button T1 for over 3 seconds (use a suitable pointed imple-
ment). The hands begin to move and position themselves in the 12 o'clock
position. The dot on the LCD display starts to flash.
In place of the date, the display now shows the seconds in digital format
[00]. While the signal is being received, please keep your watch still or put it
down.
With good reception, the hands will automatically set themselves to the
right time.
If you wish, you can interrupt the manual time synchronisation process, as
soon as the hands have moved to the 12 o'clock position. To do so, briefly press
button T1.
The hands now position themselves at the last received DCF 77 time.
Any time zone adjustment that may have been made gets reset.
5. Setting the time zone
If you travel to a country where Central European Time (CET) / Central
European Summer Time (CEST) does not apply, you can set your watch to the
applicable time zone for that country by using the T2 time zone button.
x
To do this, press button T2 for over 3 seconds (use a suitable pointed imple-
ment). The LCD display now shows the current hour (24-hour display).

x
By pressing briefly again on button T2, you can advance the time by one
hour with each press (+)
For example: to adjust the time from 15:00 to 18:00, press the T2 button
three times.
x
The 24-hour time shown on the LCD display enables you to check that you
have adjusted your watch to the time you wanted.
x
9 seconds after the button is pressed for the last time, the LCD display
switches automatically to showing the date.
x
In order to go back to DCF 77 local time, please initiate a manual transmit-
ter call (4.). To have the display show the last received time, you can abort
the manual transmitter call by pressing the T1 button. Thanks to the inter-
nal time memory, you can do this at any time, even outside of the trans-
mitter's coverage range, e.g. when you're on holiday.
x
If you are travelling into a time zone with a time difference other than a
full hour, please perform a reset (6.) and then a manual start (7.) so that
you can set the time manually. When you get back into the DCF 77 trans-
mitter's coverage area, please initiate a manual transmitter call (4.) in
order to trigger time synchronisation with the DCF 77 transmitter. If your
radio-controlled watch is unable to pick up the signal or if you abort the
manual transmitter call, the watch reverts to the time setting that was
programmed previously.
