Assembly Guidelines
! WARNING: Avoid touching the blades as they are extremely sharp. The high
quality blades are designed
to cut with minimal force and must be used with
utmost care.
• Carefully carry the Mandoline by holding with both hands at each end.
• The storage box (f) can contain up to 2 blade inserts (g & h). Remove it from
underneath the Mandoline's frame (a) before any use and replace after all
components are washed and dried. Use the tab on the side of the storage box to
release it from underneath the frame.
• The blade inserts (g or h) can be released from the Mandoline's frame (a) with
2 tabs, located on the sides of the Mandoline. As shown on picture 3, position
your thumbs on the frame over the blade insert's tabs. With your index fingers
under the tabs, gently lift the blade insert from the frame.
• To position the blade insert (g or h), make sure to slide the 2 pins into the slots
of the frame before clipping the blade insert. An audible click will confirm that the
blade insert is in the correct position.
• Unfold the foot (d) until it is in an extended position. The Mandoline can be
placed on a countertop or over a bowl.
Make sure that the storage box (f) has been removed and that the
Mandoline is on a secure
and flat base before using.
With the Mandoline you can make slices, French fries, julienne, dices, diamonds,
crinkle and waffle cuts.
Refer to the additional user card for visual instructions
to create specific shapes (4).
• Operate the buttons (b & c) by first pulling out before turning.
• The round button (b) indicates the thickness of the slices in mm. The button
can be turned into different positions. To adjust the thickness of the slices, you
can change the position from 0 to 9, according to the desired thickness level.
The thickness can vary depending on the type of food sliced and on the force
applied on the food guider (i). Turn the button in the lock position to place the
upper plate above the blades.
• The triangular button (c & 2) operates the easy adjustable system with
integrated stripes blades.
It can be turned in 3 positions:
▷
a lock position ( ) where no blades are showing above the upper plate,
▷
in the position
6 mm stripes,
▷
in the position
9 mm stripes.
• After setup, the Mandoline is ready to be used. Push the food guider (i) on the
food (5) with both hands. Adjust the height of the food so the food stays pined on
the food guider. Hold the Mandoline by its foot handle with one hand and hold
the food guider (i) with the other hand for all tasks.
• Hold the food guider (i) parallel to the cutting surface and use the rib to guide
and to avoid touching the metal blade.
