Initial operation
Prior to initial operation check that voltage and network fre-
quency correspond with those indicated on the identification
plate. A voltage variation of ± 5 % is allowable. In the standard
version the machine is fitted with an integrated PRCD electrical
safety device for use on the safety socket. Prior to any use,
check that operating conforms with the PTCD electrical safety
device (see separate instructions).
Warning: Do not use the PRCD safety device for turning the
drill on and off !
Only use the 3 conductor extension with a protective conductor
and sufficient cross section (2.5 mm2 minimum). Insufficient
cross section can result in a disproportional loss of power,
along with excessive heating of the motor and cable.
Adapt the advance to the diameter of the crown, and to the
power of the drill, in order not to overheat the machine.
The DDW 100 drill can be used equally well for both dry and
wet drilling.
The supply of water always remains at the level of the spindle.
In the event of water leakage between the black plastic ring
and the box, the water supply must be replaced, or the sealing
rings (in the event of replacement, grease the lip of the sealing
rings. The water supply (black plastic ring) can only be remo-
ved by pulling (see photos).
Water supply assembly must be carried out by placing the part
up to the joint of the retaining ring.
Warning ! Do not damage the sealing rings during assem-
bly.

The machine has an external water supply via the spindle. A
plug and ball valve allows for water quantity regulation as
required. Water supply is fitted with a connection for Gardena
hoses.
Warning ! Water pressure at the connection should not exceed
3 bars.
In the event of drilling "at height" work safety and machine ope-
rating require that water exiting from the drilling hole be collec-
ted using a container and water suction.
