For any installation problems please contact V2 ELETTRONICA
TEL. (+39) 01 72 81 24 11
V2 ELETTRONICA has the right to modify the product without previous notice; it also
declines any responsibility to damage or injury to people or things caused by improper
use or wrong installation.
Please read this instruction manual very carefully before installing and
programming your PD5 control unit.
•
This instruction manual is only for qualified technicians, who specialize in
installations and automations.
•
The contents of this instruction manual do not concern the end user.
•
Every programming and/or every maintenance service should be done only by
qualified technicians.
AUTOMATION MUST BE IMPLEMENTED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE EUROPEAN
REGULATIONS IN FORCE:
EN 60204–1
(MACHINERY SAFETY. ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT OF MACHINES,
PART 1: GENERAL RULES)
EN 12445
(SAFE USE OF AUTOMATED LOCKING DEVICES, TEST METHODS)
EN 12453
(SAFE USE OF AUTOMATED LOCKING DEVICES, REQUIREMENTS)
•
The installer must provide for a device (es. magnetotermical switch) ensuring
the omnipolar sectioning of the equipment from the power supply.
The standards require a separation of the contacts of at least 3 mm in each
pole (EN 60335-1).
•
Installation requires mechanical and electrical skills, therefore it shall be
carried out by qualified personnel only, who can issue the Compliance
Certificate concerning the whole installation (EEC Machine Directive 89/392,
Annex IIA).
•
The automated vehicular gates shall comply with the following rules:
EN 12453, EN 12445, EN 12978 as well as any local rule in force.
•
Also the automation upstream electric system shall comply with the laws and
rules in force and be carried out workmanlike.
•
The door thrust force adjustment shall be measured by means of a proper
tool and adjusted according to the max. limits, which EN 12453 allows.
•
We recommend to make use of an emergency button, to be installed by the
automation (connected to the control unit STOP input) so that the gate may
be immediately stopped in case of danger.
•
Please connect the ground wire of motors to the grounding.
PRGH433PP / PRGH433RY
•
230 VAC power supply for 1 max 700W monophase motor.
•
Semi-automatic operation logic.
•
Opening/closing time adjustment (3 to 120 sec.) by means of a potentiometer.
•
Input for key selector or button.
•
Input for safety photocell.
•
433 MHz self-learning built-in receiver.
•
Operation by means of Royal (model PRGH433RY) or Personal Pass (model
PRGH433PP) remote controls.
•
The PRGH433PP version, which is compatible with the Personal Pass system,
enables you to store up to 83 different codes and cancel all the stored ones as well.
•
IP55 plastic box.
FUNCTIONING LOGIC
The logic of its functioning is semiautomatical: the first pression of the transmitter
button or START triggers the opening, the second one triggers the stopping, the third the
closing, the fourth the stopping and so forth. The sequence functioning cycle goes on
always in the same way.

OPENING
The transmission of a code when the shutter is open and the working time is ended
controls the closing.
PRGH433PP
: The programmable control unit PRGH433PP is one of the elements of
the PERSONAL PASS SAW system at 433.92 MHz. It enables the V2 ELETTRONICA
customer to be the owner of a personalized code which cannot be copied or duplicated
by others. The PRGH433PP is used in the automation rolling gates alwais guaranteeing
an easy and quick installation.
By the portable programmer PROG2 it is possible to modify the content of the receiver's
memory, that is, to cancel the already memorized codes, to put in new ones, ecc.
To exploit the system's possibilities at its best you just have to connect the PROG2 (with
a serial cable RS 232C) to a personal computer: the software WINPPCL / PPCL, properly
installed, enables you to carry out quickly the wished operations and modify, file, print all
necessary pieces of information for an extensive management of the installations.

PROGRAMMING OF THE RADIO RECEIVER
To correctly memorize the code it is necessary to keep a minimum distance of 1,5
metres between the transmitter and the receiver's antenna. To program the radio
receiver, please proceed as follows:
•
Keep SW1 pressed until the led L1 lightens
•
Keep the button of the transmitter pressed until the led L1 goes off for about a 1/2
second indicating the correct memorization of the code.
Then the led start immediately flashing for a number of times corresponding to the
number of the memory zone which has just been taken.
•
Once the flashings have ceased, the system is ready to be used.
ROLLING CODE MODE
It is possible to activate or disable the ROLLING CODE mode. Its activation makes any
attempt of code duplication impossible. The programmer is in fact able to recognize the
dinamical portion of the code, which changes at each transmission according to a
complex mathematical algorythmus.
To activate the "rolling code" function it is necessary to act on the jumper J1 on the
printed circuit:
J1 open
=
"rolling code" mode activated"
J1 closed
= "rolling code" mode not activated"
ATTENTION: only when the "rolling code" mode is activated is the Personal Pass code
not reproducible by someone else.
PARTIAL CLEARING
It is possible to clear one or more codes in the memory in order to disactivate the
wished transmitters. To activate the partial clearing function, please proceed as follows:
•
Press SW1 until LED L1 goes off.
•
Release the button: the led starts flashing (from 1 to 83 flashes) very slowly (about
1 flashing per second).
•
Reckon how many times the LED flashes up to the number corresponding to the
memory zone you wish to clear.
•
Press the receiver SW1 during the wished flashing.
•
Release SW1 and wait a few seconds until the LED goes off.
•
The memory zone is now free and ready for a new memorization.
TOTAL CLEARING
It is necessary to follow these directions:
•
Disconnect the power supply.
•
Disable the ROLLING CODE mode by inserting the J1 jumper.
•
Press the receiver's SW1 button; at the same time supply power.
•
The receiver's LED flashes: release SW1
•
The 83 memory zones are now empty and ready for a new programming.
INPUT OF A CODE ALREADY IN MEMORY
If you try to memorize a code already in memory, the receiver's led starts flashing as
many times as the number of the already taken memory zone.
To distinguish this function from ordinary programming, the led flashes faster and
remains on for about 4 s during the last flashing. The user can employ this function to
identify at any time the memory zone taken by every single transmitter previously
memorized inside the system.
PRGH433RY
: The programmable control unit PRGH433RY is one of the elements of
the ROYAL sistem at 433.92 MHz. The PRGH433RY is used in the automation rolling
gates alwais guaranteeing an easy and quick installation.
PROGRAMMING OF THE RADIO RECEIVER
To correctly store the code, a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between the transmitter
and the receiver antenna must be observed. To program the radio receiver, please
proceed as follows:
•
Keep SW1 pressed until the led L1 lightens
•
Keep the button of the transmitter pressed until the led L1 goes off.
•
Once the flashing have ceased, the system is ready to be used.
CODE REPLACEMENT
The memorized transmitter code can be replaced by a new code by following the same
procedure for the memorization.
In this way the new code will be memorized and the previous one cancelled.
