Only pierce through the bonding bead in the area marked
"X" from inside to outside (see page 8), and pull in
approx. twice the diagonal window length as wire length.
Connect the remote control with the drive unit (see
page 9) and guide the cutting wire around the deflector
rollers in the direction shown.
Insert the wire end into the bobbin on the drive unit and
pre-tension the cutting wire by actuating the On/Off
switch of the remote control (see page 10).
Position the cutting wire around the window on the out-
side, and guide the second wire end inward at the area
marked "X" (see page 13). The wire ends may not be
over cross or become entangled! Fasten the wire end at
the wire fixation. If required, cover off the dashboard to
protect it (see page 15). Actuate the On/Off switch on
the remote control and slowly cut through the bonding
bead (see page 11). When the pulling force is too high,
the slip clutch in the drive unit prevents the cutting wire
from being torn apart (see page 15).
When cutting into conductive materials (e. g. the vehicle
body), the metal-detection unit generates an audio signal
(see page 19–20). Slowly wind back the cutting wire in
the opposite direction, check the cause and begin the cut-
ting again.
Handling the battery.
Operate and charge the battery only within the battery
operating-temperature range of 0°C – 45°C (32°F –
113°F). At the beginning of the charging procedure, the
battery temperature must be within the battery operat-
ing-temperature range.

The real percentage of the battery charge condition is
only indicated when the power tool motor is stopped.
The electronics automatically switch off the motor prior
to the battery being deep discharged.
Additional operating instructions.
The self-start prevention lock prevents the power tool
from automatically starting when the battery is inserted
while the on/off switch is set to on.
Fasten the vacuum cups only to a clean and grease-free
window. Ensure tight seating of the vacuum cups.
Do not fasten the vacuum cups to torn or cracked areas
of the window.
Do not fasten the vacuum cups or the glass-removal
machine to broken windows.
Other persons are not permitted to be in the work area.
When using the glass-removal machine on small win-
dows, remove the telescope unit (see page 21–22).
Do not transport the glass-removal machine with the tel-
escope pipes extended. Otherwise, the telescope pipes
can become damaged.
Use only round wire of the specified quality as the cutting
wire. The glass-removal machine is not designed for use
with square wire, twisted wire or wire with abrasives
applied.
Handle the wire ends carefully. Danger of injury.
Wind up the cutting wire only in the direction specified
(see page 11). The opposite direction is used for the
return motion as well as for unreeling the cutting wire, at
which an audio signal sounds (see page 12).
Use the glass-removal machine only at temperatures
> 5 °C (ambient and surface temperature). Otherwise
there is danger of injury!
Do not wind or guide the cutting wire around persons,
body parts and objects or devices not intended for.
Do not use the connection cable between glass-removal
machine and remote control as a handle.
For transport, unplug the connection cable at the glass-
removal machine.
Do not wind the connection cable between glass-
removal machine and remote control around persons or
objects.
Do not stare directly into the lamp on the remote control
and do not blind other persons with it.

Packaging, worn out power tools and accessories should
be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
Dispose of batteries only when discharged.
For batteries that are not completely discharged, insulate
