ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
-
Before plugging in the heater, check that the voltage of your domestic supply corresponds to the
voltage (V) indicated on the appliance.
-
Check that the electrical socket has a rating of 10/16 Amps.
-
THIS APPLIANCE COMPLIES WITH EEC DIRECTIVE 89/336, RELATING TO ELECTRO-MAGNE-
TIC COMPATIBILITY.
INSTALLATION
The appliance requires no installation, it should be used solely as a portable appliance.
Portable appliances are not suitable for use in a bathroom.

FUNCTIONING AND USE

Models with function selector and ambient thermostat (where included)

Turn the thermostat knob (right) in a clockwise direction until it reaches the maximum setting.

Summer service (ventilation only): turn the knob to setting
-
Heating at reduced power: turn the knob (left) to setting 1.
-
Heating at full power: turn the knob (left) to setting 2.
-
Switching off: turn the knob (left) to setting 0.
Models with switches and or ambient thermostat (where included)

Turn the thermostat knob (right) in a clockwise direction until it reaches the maximum setting.

until it reaches the maximum setting, pressing both switches (in the off position).

Switching off: turn off the switches and turn the thermostat knob (right) in an anti-clockwise
direction until it reaches the minimum setting.
It is always advisable to disconnect the plug when the appliance is not in use.
Models with thermostat only
The appliance is switched on by turning the knob in a clockwise direction until it reaches the maxi-
mum setting; to switch the appliance completely off turn the knob to the minimum setting and remo-
ve the plug from the electrical socket.
REGULATING THE THERMOSTAT
When the room has reached the required temperature turn the right thermostat knob (where inclu-
ded) in an anti-clockwise direction up to the point where the appliance switches off and not beyond.
The temperature fixed in this way will be automatically regulated and kept at a constant level by the

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning always remove the plug from the electrical socket.
Clean the air inlet/outlet grilles frequently.
Never use abrasive powders or solvents.

Always use the heater in an upright position.

Do not use the heater to dry your laundry. Never obstruct the intake and outlet grilles (danger of overhea-
ting).

The heater must be positioned at least 50 cm from furniture or other objects.

When the appliance is used in portable version, do not place it up against walls, furniture, curtains, etc.

The appliance must be installed so that the switches and other controls can not be reached by persons
using the bath tub or the shower.

If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised service
centre or a qualified electrician in order to eliminate all risk.

The appliance must not be positioned directly underneath a fixed power point.

Do not cover the appliance while it is functioning in order to avoid overheating with the attendant risk of fire.

Do not use the appliance in rooms less than 4 m
The heater is fitted with a safety device which will switch off the heater in case of accidental overhea-
ting (eg. obstruction of air intake and outlet grilles, motor turning slowly or not at all). To reset, disconnect the
plug from the power for a few minutes, remove the cause of overheating then plug the appliance in again.
WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, never under any circumstances cover the
appliances during operation,as this would lead to dangerous overheating.
CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this
appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected
to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
