SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS AND
WARNINGS
Suffocation hazarad!
!
Keep the packaging and small size components away from
children! Ingesting the packaging and small size parts might
suffocate the children!
Explosion and fire hazard!
!
The innapropriate use of this device and/or batteries might lead
to fire or explosion. Therefore, do not use the device in an explo-
sive atmosphere. The batteries must not be thrown into fires.
Toxicity hazard!
!
Swallowing the deteriorated batteries which might leak, lead
in the case of children to poisoning or death. Keep the batte-
ries out of the reach of children! If the battery compartment
fails to close accordingly and safe, do not use the measu-
rement device and dismantle the device as described under
dismantling and recycling. If a battery is swallowed, or you
suspect this, immediatly ask for healthcare.
Accident hazard!

The measuring pins are extremely sharp, be prudent while you
work with the measurement device, therefore, very cautious. Al-
ways put the protection cover when you don't operate the device.
Keep away from children and do not let them to play with it. Stop
the device if you don't use it or in case of transport.
Accident hazard!

Always use the same battery type. Different types of battery raise
the risk of leakage. Do not touch the battery leakage, this might lead
to injuries and/or burns. Do not touch the leakage from batteries.
At the contact with the battery acid, wash the affected area with
clean water. Do not try to recharge the batteries in order to avoid
battery leakage. Do not take batteries out and / or short-circuit the
batteries. Please immediately remove the batteries from the battery
compartment when the batteries are empty. Use only batteries with
the same power and of the same type. Always use the same old
batteries and do not use old and new batteries together.

Explosion hazard!

Innapropriate replacement of battery might lead to explosion.
Use only batteries of the same type or equivalent. Batteries
must not be exposed to overheat, such as direct light of the sun,
fire or others alike. Please ensure that the batteries are correctly
inserted and pay attention to the right polarity (+ and -). The
batteries should be disposed separately.

PREPARATION AND OPERATION

Deterioration hazard!

Carefully open the humidity meter to prevent damaging the
package.
Preparation
A. Remove all packaging.
B. Remove the display film and possibly further packaging material.
C. Check that all specified parts are present (see Figure page 3).
D. Check the device for any damage. If the board shows signs of
damage, do not use the device and contact your dealer.
Installation and replacement of batteries
A. Please make sure the meter is off.
B. Using a suitable screwdriver, please open the battery compart-
ment cover (C).
C. Remove the packaging material of the two supplied batteries
and put them back. Pay attention to the correct polarity, it appears
in the battery compartment (E).
D. Now you can put the battery cover back on the device and tighten.
USE OF BUILDING AND WOOD
HUMIDITY METER
1 ) This parameter specifies the temperature mesured in Celsius
degrees (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F). To choose between Celsius and
Fahrenheit, press and hold the On / Set button (switch / measure-
ment) the button (H) for approximately 3 seconds, then release.
2) Replace the batteries as soon as possible when this symbol
occurs on the screen (B). Respect the security instructions, the
purpose and the replacement of batteries as described.
3) The left scale indicates the humidity mesured from 6 % to 44 %.
4) In the centre of the screen (B displayed), the output of measure-
