Read all instructions carefully before using Mio 30. Consult your pump user guide before
connecting Mio 30 to your pump. Follow proper hygiene procedures. If you are using Mio 30
for the first time, do the first set-up in the presence of your healthcare professional.

Inserting Mio 30
Unfold the front cover of this booklet to
view images that are keyed to the steps
below.
CAUTION: Check the tamper-proof seal and
sterile paper. Do not use if the seal or paper
has been broken.
1. Wash your hands before inserting Mio 30.
2. Select an infusion site on a
recommended area (shown in gray).
Refer to your healthcare professional or
pump user guide for instruction about
infusion site rotation.
3. Clean the area of insertion with
a disinfectant as directed by your
healthcare professional. Be sure the area
is dry before inserting Mio 30. If needed,
remove hair around insertion site to
prevent improper attachment of the tape
to the skin.
4. Connect the tubing to a filled reservoir.
IMPORTANT: Make sure there is no
liquid inside the tubing connector or on
top of the reservoir. If this occurs, start
over with a new reservoir and infusion
set.
5. Remove the protective cap of the site
connector. Fill the tubing until insulin
drips from the tip. Ensure there are
