 Connect the machine via a circuit breaker switch (residual-
current-operated circuit switch) 30 mA.
 Always use three-conductor extension cables with connected
earthing conductor and sufficient cross section.

Electrical mains supply impedance
When conditions in the electrical mains supply are un-
favourable, voltage reductions for short periods can occur during
the process of turning on the equipment, which can adversely
affect other equipment (e.g., the flickering of a lamp).
No breakdowns are to be expected if the maximum, electrical
mains supply impedances given in the table are met.

INFEED
The shredder is in normal mode when you switch the reversing
switch to INFEED. The cutting roller draws material in and chops
it.
REVERSE
The shredder is in reverse mode when you switch the reversing
switch to REVERSE. Material is released from the cutting roller
and can be pulled out.
Note: If you switch the shredder from normal to reverse mode,
the cutting roller will stop for a short moment and rotates then in
the reverse direction.
Note: If you turn off the shredder while it is in reverse mode, the
cutting roller's rotational direction will be reset, i.e. material will
be drawn in when you restart the shredder.
Shredder jam / blockage / overload
Branches and twigs can jam / block this machine. In such a case
the reversing switch automatically switches to REVERSE to
release jammed material. The motor will automatically stop after
3 to 5 seconds.
Switch the reversing switch to
operation.
Note: Bear in mind that the machine is operative as long as the
LED lits.
If the machine is still jammed / blocked the cutting roller's
rotational direction is automatically switched to reversing again.
Repeat this operation several times. If, after several attempts,
the jam / blockage could not be
eliminated, turn the adjusting
knob (J) anticlockwise once the
motor has been stopped again
(this makes the distance between
counter knife and cutting roller
greater).

Jammed material is released.
Note that the LED lights.
After elimination of such a jam /
blockage you have to re-adjust
the distance between counter
knife and cutting roller. See section "Adjusting the counter
blade".
Hints
Large objects or pieces of wood may be removed after the
shredder has been operated several times both in cutting
and in release direction.
Use a tamper or hook to remove jammed objects from the
hopper or ejection slot.
Always wait until the shredder has come to a complete
standstill before restarting it.
