EMERGENCY CALL FUNCTION
A detailed description of the dguard® emergency call function can be
found in the user manual that is available online. However, we would like
to provide you with the most important information at this stage:
• If an accident situation is detected, an emergency call is triggered
automatically and the local emergency coordination centre is notified.
Your current position is also transmitted in this process.
• To trigger an emergency call manually, press the dguard® button for at
least 3 seconds. In such cases, the dguard® system also makes a call to
the local emergency coordination centre.
• An active emergency call is signalled by the rapid flashing of the
dguard® button and can be cancelled within the first 15 seconds by
pressing the dguard® button twice.
• If you have connected a Bluetooth headset to the dguard® system,
you can
· speak to the emergency coordination centre following transmission of
your current position if an automatic emergency call has been made
· speak to the emergency coordination centre immediately if a manual
emergency call has been made You can play back a statement of your
coordinates for the emergency coordination centre at any point in the
conversation by briefly pressing the dguard® button.
WHAT TO DO AFTER A REPORTED ACCIDENT WITH DGUARD®
Secure the accident location and provide first aid if you have not been
injured yourself. Remain in the vicinity of your reported position until
the emergency services arrive.
If it is a false alarm, inform the emergency coordination centre. You can
reach the emergency coordination centre across Europe by calling 112.

If your dguard is disconnected from the power supply

during an accident, the emergency call is automatically
made using the backup battery. The battery is designed to
ensure that you can make an emergency call.
In the event of an additional accident, however, we cannot
guarantee that a complete emergency call can be made if
your dguard is disconnected from the power supply again.
