CREATING YOUR LOGICAL DRIVES

On a newly activated Vess R2600 subsystem, there are no disk arrays or logical drives. Use
WebPAM PROe to create logical drives for SAN operation. If you are planning to the device for NAS
function, it is necessary to change the menu interface to NAS configuration menu. Please read the
Product Manual for more information about NAS operation.
To create a logical drive for SAN operation:
1. After logging in, make sure the menu is displaying in System configuration menu (displayed
by default), click on the Storage tab, then the Wizard icon. The Wizard menu appears.
