3 Troubleshooting
If your computer does not detect the connected
hard disk, you should check the following:
• That the LED on the adapter is on. If it is not
on, check that you have connected the enclosed
power cable correctly. For instructions on this,
see section 2.1 or 2.2 depending on whether
you are connecting an IDE or SATA hard disk.
• That your hard disk is connected to a power
connector in the computer.
• That you have connected the enclosed SATA
cable to the correct connector on the adapter.
