Vacuum-type cooling system filler, no. 099989
The KVB 01 and KVB 01.1 permit repaired cooling systems to be checked for

To connect the KVB 01 to the cooling system expansion tank, a radiator adapter with con-

!
Exercise caution when dealing with a hot cooling system 0 giving rise to a risk of scald injury!
Preliminary tasks/requirements
The expansion tank of the cooling system has to be empty.
.
Check the capacity of the cooling system (refer to vehicle user's manual).
.
Compressed air supply at 6-10 bar (87-145 psi).
.
1-2 litres more than the volume of the coolant system being filled. Particles of rust
.
and dirt must not get into the coolant system being filled under any
circumstances.
It is advisable to work with a container marked with a scale showing coolant level.
.
The best results will be achieved if the coolant container is at the level as the expansion
.
tank in the vehicle.
Set the heating control switch (in the vehicle) to the 'high heat' position.
