Please read all instructions carefully before assembly, installation and/or use of this product.
WARNING: DO NOT EXCEED lower of vehicle mfg's or hitch mfg's maximum tongue
weight rating.
WARNING: DO NOT EXCEED bike carrier maximum weight rating.
WARNING: Do not lubricate threads. Bolt failure may occur due to over tightening.
WARNING: Do not drill or weld to this product.
Note: This product is designed for use with Cequent part numbers 59400, 59401, 59403, 59508, and 63123.
TO REMOVE AND REPLACE SHANK
• Remove the ½" pin, clip, ½" bolt and lock nut, or (2) two 1/2 hex bolts from existing bike shank assembly.
• Attach the new 1-1/4" rise shank using the (2) two ½-13 x 3-1/2" long hex bolts and ½-13 locknuts supplied.
• Tighten all ½" grade 5 bolts to 50 FT-LBS (68 N*M)
