INSTALLATION
Install the QDV valve after a stop valve with
spindle upwards and with flow direction
from the side branch (Fig. 1).
WELDING
Dismount the bonnet before welding (fig.
2a + 2b). Slacken the lock screw (pos. A)
before unscrewing the bonnet. Make sure
that the gasket between housing and valve
bonnet does not remain in the housing
when removing the bonnet.
NB: Avoid damage to the cone teflon
ring.
ASSEMBLY
Remove welding slag and dirt from tubes
and housing before assembly of the valve.
Avoid welding slag and dirt in the threads
of the housing and the top. Check that the
cone has been unscrewed completely to
avoid any interference when the bonnet is
placed in the housing again (fig. 2c). Check
that the gasket between housing and bon-
net (pos. B) is placed on the bonnet before
it is placed in the housing again.
TIGHTENING
Tighten the bonnet with a torque wrench
with 90 Nm (fig. 2d). Do not forget to
tighten the lock screw (pos. A).
COLOURS
In the factory the QDV valves are painted
in a reddish brown primer.
