4 Inserting a Halogen Lamp
GB
The unit is supplied without a lamp. A reflector halogen
lamp with the following specifications is required:
24 V/250 W, type MR 16 with base GX 5,3
(e. g. HLG-24/250MR from "img Stage Line")
Never use a lamp with a higher wattage than 250 W!
WARNING
Always disconnect the mains plug
before inserting or removing the halo-
gen lamp!
As halogen lamps heat up very much during oper-
ation, let the lamp first cool down after operation of
the unit (minimum cooling down time 15 minutes)
before replacing it.
Never operate the unit with the housing open. Look-
ing directly into the lit lamp may cause eye damage
due to the high brightness and the UV radiation.
1) Unscrew the two setscrews (7) and turn the mount-
ing bracket (1) behind the unit.
2) Unscrew the screw (5) for the upper part of the
housing. Unfold the upper part of the housing
upwards. The lamp support (fig. 3) is now visible.
3) Insert the halogen lamp into the support and push
on the lamp connection (fig. 4). Pay attention that
the lamp is centred in the support.
4) Close the upper part of the housing and tighten it
with the screw (5).
5 Mounting
The unit can be placed on a firm, even, heat-resistant
surface. However, it can also be suspended from a
crossbar via its mounting bracket (1).
IMPORTANT
Always place the unit so that a sufficient air ventila-
tion is ensured during operation.
The unit must have a minimum distance of 50 cm to
adjoining surfaces and the air vents at the housing
must not be covered in any case.
Pay in any case attention to a sufficient distance to
easily flammable material or material sensitive to
heat.
To align the unit, release the two setscrews (7) at the
mounting bracket. Adjust the desired inclination of the
unit and retighten the screws.
WARNING The unit must be mounted in a safe and
expert way. If it is installed as a sus-
pended load above persons, it must
additionally be secured (e.g. by a safety
rope at the mounting bracket; fix the
safety rope in such a way that the maxi-
mum falling distance of the unit is 20 cm).

6 Operation
Connect the mains cable to the mains jack (4) and
then the mains plug to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
Thus, the unit is switched on. To switch off the unit, dis-
connect the mains plug.
For a more convenient operation it is recommend-
ed to connect the unit to a mains socket which can be
switched on and off via a light switch.
The projected patterns change automatically. If the
music is reproduced with a clear rhythm in the bass
range at sufficient volume, the changes of the patterns
and their rotation are synchronized with the beat of the
music via the installed microphone (2).
6.1 Control with the remote control LC-3
The remote control LC-3 available as an accessory
allows to control different functions.
1) Connect the remote control to the 6.3 mm jack (6).
2) LE-340KLD only: To be able to control several LE-
340KLD units with one remote control in a synchro-
nous way, they can be connected with each other
via the two 3.5 mm jacks OUTPUT/INPUT (8).
Then the directions of the movements and the
speeds are synchronized. However, not necessa-
rily the same patterns are projected.
Connect the jack OUTPUT of the main unit (to
which the remote control is connected) to the jack
INPUT of the first auxiliary unit. Connect its jack
OUTPUT to the jack INPUT of the following unit etc.,
until 7 auxiliary units as a maximum are connected.
A 3-pole cable of 5 m maximum length with
3.5 mm plugs is required for each connection.
3) The lamp can be switched on and off with the but-
ton STAND BY (9). With the lamp switched off, the
LED next to the button lights up.
4) Select the operating mode with the button
MODE (11):
LE-330CUB
Mode 1
(LED next to the button does not light up)
Change of the patterns and rotation are music-
controlled.
Mode 2
(LED next to the button lights up)
The rotation is music-controlled. A certain pat-
tern or a permanent change of patterns can be
selected with the button FUNCTION (10).
Mode 3
(LED next to the button flashes)
A certain pattern or a permanent change of pat-
terns can be selected with the button FUNC-
