LED Light Strip
with Remote Control
Please read these operating instructions carefully
prior to operation and keep them for later refer-
ence.
1 Applications
This 3 m light strip with 72 LEDs is used for deco-
rative lighting. The remote control allows to select
various control programmes, e. g. running light,
change of colour, gradual colour transition, con-
stant lighting in one colour.
2 Important Notes
The components of the LED set (controller, remote
control and LED light strip) correspond to all rele-
vant directives of the EU (marking
G
The LED set is suitable for indoor use only. Pro-
tect it against dripping water and splash water,
high air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient
temperature range 0 – 40 °C). However, the light
strip is protected against humidity (IP 65) and
therefore also suitable for damp locations.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water. However, you may use a
damp cloth to clean the light strip.
G
No guarantee claims for individual components
of the LED set and no liability for any resulting
personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the LED set is used for other pur-
poses than originally intended, if it is not cor-
rectly connected or operated or not repaired in
an expert way.
If the LED set is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.

3 Mounting and Connection
1) Attach the LED light strip (7) to the desired place
with the supplied brackets.
2) Connect the plug (4) of the controller (3) to the
matching plug (5) of the LED strip.
Note: To disconnect the plugs, press on the unlocking of
the plug (4) of the controller (see arrow a in the figure).
3) Fasten the controller at a suitable place by
means of the self-adhesive foil on the rear side.
When using the remote control, always make
sure that the IR sensor (2) is visible.
4) For power supply a regulated 5 V power supply
unit with a current rating of 2 A is required as a
minimum (e. g. PSS-3000E from MONACOR).
Connect the power supply unit via a low voltage
plug with the dimensions 5.5 / 2.1 mm (outside /
inside diameter) to the jack (1) of the controller.
Make sure that the positive pole is at the inside
contact of the plug. After applying the operating
).
voltage, the LEDs light up according to the last
control programme selected.
Note: The power connection (6) of the light strip is not
required for operation with one light strip only.
3.1 Extension with further LED strips
A maximum of 3 light strips may be connected to the
controller. By using 2 additional LED strips from the
set LEDS-3PRO / RGB the length of the light strip
may be extended up to 9 m. For this purpose, how-
ever, a 5 V power supply unit with a current rating of
4 A (for one additional light strip) or 6 A (for two addi-
tional light strips) is required for power supply!
1) Connect the additional light strip via its plug (5)
to the previous light strip in each case.
2) Connect the 5 V power supply unit additionally to
the power connections (6) of the 2
strips via a low voltage plug each (5.5 / 2.1 mm);
the positive pole must be at the inside contact
of the plugs. In this case only, all LEDs show
the same brightness and the current-carrying
cables of the LED set are not overloaded.

4 Operation

4.1 Remote control

1) The remote control is supplied with a battery
inserted. An insulating foil between the battery
and the battery contacts prevents the battery
from being discharged during storage. Prior to
the first operation, remove the foil from the bat-
tery support on the rear side of the remote con-
trol. Otherwise operation of the remote control is
not possible.
2) When actuating a button, always hold the
remote control in the direction of the sensor (2).
There must be visual connection between the
remote control and the sensor.
3) If the range of the remote control decreases,
replace the battery. For this purpose, on the rear
side of the remote control, push the small bar
with the groove to the right and at the same time
remove the battery support.
1.
A 3 V button cell of type CR 2025 is required.
When inserting, pay attention that the positive
pole of the button cell shows upwards in the
support.
If the remote control is not used for a longer
period, remove the battery to prevent damage to
the remote control due to battery leakage.
Dead batteries must not be placed in
the household waste. To protect the
environment, always take them to a
special waste disposal (e. g. collection
container at your retailer).
