1 - SAFETY WARNINGS AND GENERAL
PRECAUTIONS

1.1 - General warnings

• The MATS1 touchscreen can be used exclusively with Mhouse
automations and Mhouse alarm systems. Any use other
than as described in this manual is strictly prohibited!
• Never make any modifications to any part of the product
other than those specified in this manual. Unauthorised
operations may cause malfunctions; the manufacturer
declines all liability for damage caused by unauthorised
modifications to the product.
• To use the touchscreen, simply press the screen lightly using
the finger or stylus supplied (do not exert pressure!). Nev-
er use sharp objects on the screen as these may cause
irreparable damage to the display.
• When replacing batteries, take care to observe polarity.
• Liability of the manufacturer: the manufacturer declines
all liability for faults due to incorrect programming or improp-
er use of the device.
• Guarantee (summary of terms): Mhouse guarantees
company products against concealed defects for a period
of 3 years as of the date of manufacture. The guarantee is
applicable to the direct purchaser from Mhouse. No guaran-
tee is envisaged for the end user, who in the event of faults
must contact the specific installer or retailer.
• Exclusions from guarantee: the guarantee does not cov-
er aesthetic parts, the display, parts subject to normal wear
or normal consumables, such as batteries.
• The product packaging material must be disposed of in full
observance of current local legislation.
2 - PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED
USE
The MATS1 touchscreen is the radio interface that can be
used to control Mhouse automations, such as a gate, shutter,
an awning etc., and to control the entire Mhouse alarm sys-
tem, including management of the intruder protection system.
MATS1 uses an icon menu and integrated voice guide to
ensure intuitive use. It is equipped with a voicemail system
that enables the system to record and listen to voice mes-
sages. It has 4 keys (fig. 1) used for direct and immediate
control of the automations.
MATS1 is also equipped with a transponder badge reader which
enables rapid activation or deactivation of the alarm system.
MATS1 is powered by 2 disposable batteries. It is available
with a desktop/wall support (optional) which can also serve as
a battery charger. It can also be used with rechargeable bat-
teries, in combination with a compatible battery charger con-
nected to the USB input (fig. 1).
The touchscreen can be wall-mounted, in which case a suit-
ably accessible point should be selected (for example near the
main entrance.

3 - USING THE TOUCHSCREEN

MATS1 is equipped with a key to turn the screen on and off
(fig. 1) and an auto-off function to limit battery consumption;
