• For c) in the diagram
Be sure to connect the TO CTE-A10 connector of the first CTE-A10
(connected to the Sony video conference system (PCS series)) and the
FROM CTE-A10 of the second CTE-A10. If you connect these connectors
in reverse, the sound from the CTE-600s connected to the second CTE-
A10 and after it will not be heard.
• For d) in the diagram
The PCS VIDEO IN connector, REC OUT connector (see the following
"Recording Conversations During a Meeting"), LINE OUT connector and
LINE IN connector of the first CTE-A10 are used. Those of the second
CTE-600 and later are not used.
These connectors are φ 3.5 monaural mini jacks. Be sure not to use a stereo
jack. If you use a stereo jack, this may cause a malfunction.
Note on using the system
Pay attention to the following when using the remote commander supplied
with the CTE-600.
Be sure not to use the remote commander supplied with the CTE-600, if
cascaded connections are being used. If you have to use the remote
commander to perform operations that can be activated only by using the
remote commander, use the remote commander at the point as near as
possible to the CTE-600 that corresponds to that remote commander so that
the signal sent will not be picked up by other CTE-600s.
Recording Conversations During a Meeting
The REC OUT connector of the first CTE-A10 connected to the Sony video
conference system (PCS series) outputs the mixed sounds of voices sent
from a remote party and voices sent from CTE-600s in the system.
You can record mixed sounds during a meeting by connecting an IC
recorder, MD recorder, or cassette recorder to this connector. You can record
your conference proceedings even when your system is not connected to a
remote party.
