Installation Method 2: Using Mounting Bracket A (15) + Mounting Bracket B (16)
If you intend to use both mounting bracket A (15) and mounting bracket B (16)
for the installation of the V²Skim 120 please read the following and refer
to diagram 3 below.
1. Insert mounting bracket B (16) into the slot at the back
of mounting bracket A (15) (see diagram 3).
2. Slide mounting bracket B (16) to the correct height so
that the V²Skim 120 can be positioned in your aquarium
or sump with the top of the water outlet (7) located
approximately 1cm below the water surface in your
aquarium or sump (please see diagram 2) and both the
water inlet (6) and water outlet (7) are unrestricted.
Please note: the top of the water outlet (7) of the V²Skim
120 must not be positioned any lower than approx. 1cm
beneath the water surface as this would cause water to be
drawn into the air intake (5) on the injection system and
as a result the skimmer will not perform correctly.
3. Secure the V²Skim 120 to the inside of your aquarium or
sump ensuring that the suction cups on the mounting bracket
and the base of the skimmer are successfully secured.
USEFUL TIP: The V²Skim 120 base securing screw (13) and
suction cup (14) can be simply turned and adjusted to
help ensure that the V²Skim 120 is successfully positioned
and attached to the side of your aquarium or sump.
OPERATION
1. Make sure all connections are tightly secured.
2. Ensure the skimmer collection cup (2), lid (1) and collection cup collar (3) are
securely and correctly positioned on the main skimmer body (8)
3. Turn the water level adjustment dial (4) to make sure it is in a fully open position
and the water outlet (7) is unrestricted.

INITIAL OPERATION

1. Plug in and switch on the pump.
2. Turn water level adjustment dial until the micro
bubbles can be seen entering the collection cup
collar (3) (see diagram 4). Let the pump run for
24-48 hours to allow the skimmer to establish itself.
3. Once the skimmer has been established, if required
turn the water level adjustment dial to control the
water and micro bubble level within the main
skimmer body (8) and collection cup collar (3).
Please Note: Variables such as introducing new fish or invertebrates into the
aquarium, frequent feeding, adding supplements or medications, fluctuations in water
quality and/or salinity, water changes and maintenance may temporarily alter the
performance of the V
The V²Skim 120 is not designed to be used with,
Skim 120 Protein Skimmer.
