1.
For ease of installation, remove the EVAP retaining nut and move the EVAP canister off to the side to expose more of the inside
drivers side frame rail. Hoses can stay attached.
2.
With a jig saw or a cut-off wheel join the two holes shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2. This will allow an access hole for the bolt and blocks.
3.
Paint any bare metal to prevent rusting.
4.
Fish wire bolt and block (item 1 and 2) into the frame through the access hole made in step 2 and locate through mounting holes as
shown above.
5.
Raise hitch into position, make sure not to push the bolts back into the frame.
6.
Install the rest of the fasteners (item 3 and 4). Adjust hitch side-to-side if needed and tighten fasteners.
7.
Reinstall EVAP canister and nut.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
