6. Tighten all bolts to 75 ft. lbs. torque. Failure to tighten bolts as described may result in
fastener loss or failure. Be sure that the spacers #3 remain vertical as shown on
Illustration 6.
7. The ends of the clamping bracket #2 will pull down and compress when bolts are tightened
to 75 ft. lbs. torque. Failure to tighten bolts as described may result in fastener loss
or failure. See Illustration 7.
8. Tighten the remaining outer bolts on vertical section of clamping bracket #2 and receiver
assembly #1 to 75 ft. lbs. torque. Failure to tighten bolts as described may result in
fastener loss or failure. The tabs on the clamping bracket will compress around vehicle
cross member as shown on Illustration 8.
