How to use the baby carrier
1.
Adjusting the carrier seat to the child's size (Fig. 1)
Adjust the carrier seat to the size of your child by setting the right seat height
on the adjustable loop between the carrier seat and the carrier unit (Fig. 1).
When doing so, make sure that the carrier seat loops are properly pulled
through the adjustable loops and the Velcro strips are properly fastened.
There are 3 positions for the carrier seat height adjustment:
1 the highest one is for a body length of 53-66cm (21-26")
2 the middle one for a body length of 66-74cm (26-29")
3 the lowest one for a body length of 74-86cm (29-34")
2.
Fitting the carrier as a front carrier (Fig. 2)
Open the belly and chest belt on the carrier unit. Now you can do the shoulder
belt up. Then do the belly and chest belt up, adjusting the lengths of the strap
for maximum carrying comfort (Fig. 2).
3.
How to put your child into the carrier (Figs. 3/4/5/6)
Pull the lower belt strap of the carrier seat up on the right or the left, whichever
you prefer, without undoing the buckle until the opening is large enough for
your child to be seated comfortably, and undo the protective headgear belt
buckle on the side on which you pulled up the lower belt strap (Fig. 3). Now
put your child into the carrier, do up the protective head gear belt buckle above
your child's shoulders and adjust the belt strap to your child's needs (Fig. 4).
Now you can be sure your child is being carried securely and comfortably.
Make sure that the seat crosspiece is closed (Fig. 5) when carrying the child
facing forwards, and open (Fig. 6) when the child is facing you.
4.
Opening the carrier seat without waking the child
If your child has fallen asleep in the carrier you can open the carrier seat fully
to lay the sleeping baby down without waking it. Bend over a mattress and lay
the baby on it. Now undo all the carrier seat buckles and you can straighten up
and carry the baby lying in its cot.
5.
Fitting the carrier as a back carrier
For the back carrier mode we recommend that you first seat the child in front
of your belly (facing you) and make all the right adjustments (see 3 above).
When everything is properly adjusted you can put the carrier on your back by
undoing the buckles on the belly belt and the chest belt, turning the carrier
onto your back and wearing it like a rucksack. Now do the buckles up again.
That is the ergonomically ideal position for the carrier. In this way you feel the
weight of your child least when carrying.
