OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

If you are installing your skimmer in an existing pond, remove 2 feet of
water before starting.
Step 1. To start, you will
need to dig a hole along the
perimeter of the pond to
partially burry the skimmer. Dig
a hole that is 20-in x 20-in x
16-in (L x W x D). You can test
to see if you have the ideal
depth for your hole by placing
the skimmer in and turning
so the door opening is face
towards the pond. Imagine
how high the water level will
be in your pond. You want the
water to cover 2/3 of the door
opening.
Step 2. Set the skimmer in the hole to
check that it fits and rests leveled.
Step 3. Carefully clean the liner front
and back with water, then dry it with
a clean cloth. The surface will need
to be cleaned and dry for the liner to
seal properly to the skimmer. Apply
a continuous 1/4-in bead of sealant
around the skimmer door opening.
There will be some holes in this
area for screws, so make sure to go
around those as you add sealant
along this area.
Step 4. Align liner flatly across the
door opening area where sealant was
applied. Make sure that the liner rests
flat without any wrinkling or pulling.
Step 5. Add the nut plate to the
inside of the skimmer around the door
opening, and insert 2 temporary nails
into each top corner using the nails to
puncture through the liner and hold it
in place.
