Installation Instructions – ZLE03 LED Light Engine
The installer should ensure proper clearance for access to
the fixture. The steps to replace the light engine through
top access are similar to the steps below except removing
the component's through the top opening instead of the
aperture. (Figure 2.)
Section 1e: Removing the Old SLM
1. Remove the optical element. Refer to LED Reflector
Installation.
2. Tighten the rotation lock down screw (Figure 3.).
3. Remove the cotter pin from the rotation lock down
screw (Figure 3.). Use a small slot-head screwdriver
or needle nose pliers. Retain the cotter pin for
reinstallation.
4. Loosen the rotation lock down screw. It is captive but
do not over-torque.
5. Disengage the retainer (Figure 4.) by rotating past the
tabs (Figure 5.).
6. Remove the LED Mechanism from the housing.
In order to pass through the housing collar, the
mechanism must be adjusted to the 45 degree tilt
position.
7 . Remove two M3 screws holding the white Reflector
Retention Ring (Figure 6.). Use a Torx-head T-10
screwdriver.
N otee: The Reflector Retention Ring is designed to prevent
the wiring connector from unintentionally
disconnecting. It must be removed in order to
disconnect the LED Module wiring connector.
8. Remove the Reflector Retention Ring and the SLM. The
Wire harness does not need to be disconnected.
Section 2e: Removing the Old Driver Assembly
1. Loosen the two thumbscrews securing the Driver
Door Assembly to the housing wall (Figure 7 .). The
thumbscrews are captive, but do not over-torque.
