This Universal Remote Control is compatible with most models of infrared-controlled TV sets
manufactured after 1993 and supporting the functions Pr+ and Pr-.
It was factory-programmed to control the TV sets manufactured by the THOMSON group.
Please keep this guide along with the code list (provided separately), so that you can
subsequently programme your remote control for use with other sets.
When you have loaded the batteries, please switch on your TV set manually and then try to
switch it off with the remote control. Should the TV set not respond, you'll have to enter one
of the codes contained in the list supplied separately (the most often used codes are to be
found at the top of the list). To do so, proceed as per the following procedure.

Direct code input
To directly input the code read from the list:
1. Switch your TV set on.
2. On page 1 of the separate code list enclosed, find the codes matching the make of the TV set which you want
to control.

EXAMPLE: To enter code 027, do not press the key program.

Automatic code retrieval

1 second). Proceeding this way will enable you to see whether the set responds or not.

Retrieval of the code stored in your remote control
To retrieve the code stored in your remote control:
1. Hold down keys

2. Press key volume-.
3. To visualise the first code digit, press program.
The digit "0" does not generate any flash pulse.
4. For the second code digit, press key program.
5. For the third code digit, press key volume+ and count the flash pulses of the red indicator lamp (1). The indicator
lamp extinguishes after the last flash.
NOTE: The default code 165 stored in the remote control works with most of the TV sets of the THOMSON make and
with some models of the makes Saba, Brandt, Ferguson, Nordmende and Telefunken.
