IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Read carefully the instructions for use before using the appliance for the first time: failure to
comply with the instructions for use exempts Krups from any liability.
■ This appliance was not designed to be used by persons (including children) whose physical, sensorial
or mental capacities are reduced or by persons lacking experience or knowledge, unless such persons
have received supervision or instruction on the use of the appliance from a person responsible for their
safety. Make sure children do not play with the appliance.
■ Before plugging this appliance into the outlet, check that the voltage of your appliance matches that of
your electric system. Failure to do so may cause damage to the appliance or injury to the user.
Any plugging error will cancel the product warranty.
■ Your appliance was designed only for an indoor household use.
■ To avoid electric shocks, never use the appliance with damp hands or on a wet or damp surface. Avoid
getting the electric parts of the appliance wet and do not immerse them into water by any means.
■ In order to avoid injuries, this appliance should not be used by children or by any other person who did
not read these instructions for use.
■ Unplug your appliance immediately after use, during cleaning or in case of power failure.
■ Do not use the appliance if it malfunctions or is damaged.
In such cases, contact a Krups authorised service station (See list below).
■ Turn off the appliance and unplug it before changing its accessories or before touching its moving parts.
■ Any maintenance operation other than cleaning and everyday care by the client should be performed
by a Krups authorised service station.
■ Do not immerse the appliance, its power cord or its plug into water or any other liquid.
■ Do not leave the power cord hanging in the reach of children.
■ The power cord should be kept away from the hot parts of your appliance or from sources of heat or
sharp edges at all times.
■ In order to avoid negating your product guarantee do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance
yourself or by resorting to any other non-qualified person. Take your appliance to an authorised after
sale service station.
■ In order to avoid malfunction of the appliance and injury to the user, do not carry or unplug the appliance
by pulling on the power cord.
■ Do not use the appliance if the power cord or the plug become damaged. In order to avoid any risk,
have them replaced by a Krups authorised service station (see list below).
■ For your safety, only use accessories and movable parts manufactured by Krups and specially
designed for your appliance.
■ In order to avoid electric shocks, make sure that your fingers do not come into contact with the plug
prongs while you plug in or unplug the appliance.
