Pull out the power plug before carrying out any work on the equipment, and use only original parts.
Fit the front handle guard (Fig. 1, page 04)
Fit the front handle guard with two bolts (Fig. 2, page 04). Ensure that it is tight enough.
Do not use the equipment without the handle guard. Wear suitable clothing and work
gloves when working with the equipment.
Extension cable
1) For tension relief of the cable, form a loop of the end of the extension cable (Fig.

2) Connect the extension cable with the mains cable.
3) Connect the main voltage with the extension cable.
Power indicator
The power indicator (Fig.

Adjusting the rear handle
The PE50 trimmer is equipped with an adjustable rear handle. The handle can be set to four positions
in addition to the default position. Simply select the position with which you are most comfortable
working. For example, the handle can be turned 90° clockwise or anti-clockwise for cutting up or down.
The 45° setting is ideal for shaping and round cuts.
Pressing the release button 1 (Fig.
clockwise to 45° or to 90° (Fig. 08, page 06), where you will hear it automatically click into place after
releasing the button. The handle can be set only with the unit switched off.

Read the user and maintenance manual.
Ensure that the mains voltage matches the information of the label.
Check that the blades are sharp. Ensure that the blades are sharpened whenever blunt, in order to
avoid overstressing of the machine. Damages caused by cutting with blunt blades are not covered
by the guarantee. The On/Off switch and the safety switch must not be held closed. They must switch
off the motor when one is released. Should a switch be damaged, stop working with the equipment.
Ensure that the mains voltage value matches the label on the equipment.
