Check over obvious defects such as loose, dislodged or damaged blade, loose fixings and worn or
damaged components.
2)
Check that the guards are undamaged and correctly fitted. Carry out necessary maintenance or
repairs before using.
3)
Do not use the unit if the blades are blunt or worn. This will overstress the motor and gearbox of
the machine.
Blade maintenance
1)
Wear gloves when handing or cleaning the cutting blade.
2)
Always clean the cutting blade after operation and lubricate with protective spray. During longer
cutting jobs, we recommend periodically lubricating the cutting blade with protective spray.
3)
Visually check the condition of the cutting edges of the cutting blade. Check tightness of blade bolts.
Ensure that the blade is covered with the blade protection supplied.
Cleaning and storage
1)
Clean the exterior of the machine thoroughly using a soft brush and cloth after each use. Do not use
water, solvents or polishes. Remove all debris etc.
2)
Store the machine in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children.
3)
Do not place other objects on top of the machine.
No power
• Check the plug socket, cable, line and plug; where appropriate, have repaired through electrical
specialist.
• Any of the parts are defective, such as On/Off switch, motor etc. Please contact an authorized service
centre.
The hedge trimmer operates intermittently
• Any of the two handle switches is defective. Please contact an authorized service centre.
• Power cable is damaged. Please contact an authorized service centre.
• Internal loose of electrical connection. Please contact an authorized service centre.
• On/Off switch defective. Please contact an authorized service centre.
Motor runs but blades remain stationary
• Internal fault. Please contact an authorized service centre.
The blade is not working
• Cutting blade blunt: Have blade sharpened.
• Cutting blade has dents. Have blade overhauled.
• Too much friction due to lack of lubricant. Apply lubricant spray.
