MultiBeam-Laser MBL 3
Preparing the calibration check
It is possible for you to check the calibration of the laser. To do this, position the device midway between 2

walls, which must be at least 5 metre apart. Switch the
device on. The best calibration results are achieved if the
device is mounted on a tripod.
1 Mark point A1 on the wall.
2 Turn the device through 180° and mark point A2.
You now have a horizontal reference between points
A1 and A2.
Position the unit at the height of point a1 as close to
the wall as possible and adjust the unit in the Xaxis.
4 Turn the device through 180° and mark point A3. The
difference between points A2 and A3 is the tolerance
for the X axis (P. 9).
5 If points A2 and A3 are more than 2 mm / 10 m apart
the device is in need of calibration. Remove cover for
laser calibration and adjust laser to point A2 using
allen
enclosed
wrench.
6 Mark point D and switch unit on. Project plumb of D
to ceiling and mark point E. Turn unit 180 ° and
project again from D to ceiling and mark point F. The
difference between E and F is the tolerance for the
Z-axis.
7 Should E and F be more as 4 mm / 10 m apart the
plumb laser must be calibrated. Remove cover for
calibrating and adjust laser between point E and
point F.
