1. Lower exhaust by removing M8 bolts (see photo) to remove the rubber exhaust hanger.
2. Remove the (4) plastic rivets that fasten the fascia tabs to the trunk pan.
3. Using wire pull, position the ½" bolts and blocks, items 3 and 4 into frame rail locations (figure 1). raise hitch into
position and install nuts and conical toothed washers as shown. loosely tighten nuts by hand.
4. Using wire pull, position the ½" bolts and blocks, items 5 and 6 into bumper support locations (figure 1). install nuts
and conical toothed washers as shown. loosely tighten nuts by hand.
5. Tighten all fasteners using a torque wrench as specified below.
6. Reinstall muffler hanger.
7. Reconnect fascia to bumper support structure.
Tighten all 1/2" GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.
