hooks that allow access to frame rail.
Note: If needing to drill access hole on the driver's side frame rail (see Figure 4). The access hole will need to be drilled before the
hitch can be installed to the drivers frame rail. Assure that once the hitch is in place the access hole is not blocked by the hitch. Use
the pullwire to feed remaining hardware into position. (Figure 4).
1. Use pullwire to feed 1/2-13 carriage bolt and block using the kink pullwire method (Figure 2) into the forward hole, using the access
hole on the passengers frame rail. (See Figure 3)
2. Use the pullwire to feed 1/2-13 carriage bolt and block into the forward drivers frame rail using newly drilled access hole. (As
shown (Figure. 3))
Note: be careful not to push fasteners back into frame.
3. Raise hitch into position and onto carriage bolts and attach with conical toothed washers and nuts. Hand tighten the fasteners.
4. Use pullwire on remaining 1/2-13 carriage bolts and blocks into each frame rail (2 each side) using the same access holes as in Step 1
& 2. (See Figure 3)
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
