USE AND PRECAUTIONS:
TYROLL is a system consisting of a pulley-clamp and one or more pulley(s) interconnected with a 10.5 mm diam. kernmantle rope compliant with
standard EN1891 type A. TYROLL is a piece of personal protection equipment which prevents a person from falling, regardless of the person's
movement (upwards or downwards); it must be assigned to a single user (it can only be used by one person at a time).
The rope must be exclusively installed in accordance with the guide; only a rope approved by KRATOS SAFETY may be used with this device.
Similarly, only pulleys compliant with the requirements of the EN12278 standard may be used with this system. User safety relies on the ongoing
effectiveness of the equipment and full understanding of the safety instructions contained in this leaflet.
The readability of the product's markings must be checked regularly.
It can be used in various situations:
As a fall arrester system (figure 1): on rope courses or to ensure worker safety during maintenance operations, to assist people while they climb ladders
or structures, etc.
As a work positioning system, or as part of a rescue system (figure 2): on steep slopes/inclined planes, to access confined spaces, etc.

Precautions for use:
Figure 1: The TYROLL system can be installed as shown in Figure 1. In this mode of operation, when the first user reaches the top of the structure
and unhooks from the device, the second user can attach themselves to the second knot and start ascending; the same applies to descents. It is however
possible to make a single knot on the rope.
The rope must pass through the pulley-clamp in accordance with the instructions of NOTE 1, while the other end of the rope must pass through a single
pulley such as FA 70 016 00 or FA 70 016 01 (EN 12278). Warning! In this type of use, the rope must be firmly tensioned; a preload of around 30 kg
must be applied via the FA 20 800 02 tensioner. Make two figure-8 overhand knots (in the middle of the rope and to join both ends) so that each knot
is positioned as high as possible on one strand of rope (right or left) and as low as possible on the other strand. Where necessary, readjust the position
of the knots to suit your installation. The user must be connected to the system via a point A or 2xA/2 on a fall arrest harness. User weight: 55kg min
- 100kg max

NOTE 1: ROPE PASSAGE
The TYROLL system must be used with KRATOS SAFETY rope ref. FA 70
010 99, a 10.5 mm diameter polyamide kernmantle rope:with a low stretch
coefficient, compliant with standard EN1891 type A.
To facilitate the passage of the rope through the pulley, remove the covers
(4).
Pass the rope through the inside of the casings in (A), lift up the rope to (C),
guide it to reach (D) and lower it to (B). You can also do B-D-C-A.
Make sure the rope is well positioned inside the groove of the pulley. Tighten
the covers again.
