POWER CONNECTION

Please verify whether power supply and protective devices (fuses) are sufficient to operate
the device.
Place the equipment in a way that the plug is easily accessible.
Connect the device to a grounded wall outlet and take into consideration the following
technical data:

CONNECT AND DISCONNECT
IMPORTANT! Before connecting to the battery, make sure that the device is not connected
to the main power and that the ON/OFF-switch is in OFF-position.
Check the polarity of the battery. (Attention: in case of wrong connection the fuse will melt).
Attention: Under no circumstances bend the cables or expose them to direct contactd with
hot or sharp surfaces.
Charging and Starting of a battery connected to a vehicle:
In case of ground point = negative battery terminal:
■
Connect the red terminal to the positive battery terminal post.
■
Connect the black terminal to a blank spot of the car body with sufficient distance to fuel
pipes and battery.
■
Connect the unit to main power. Put the ON/OFF-switch to ON.
■
After having finished the charging put the ON/OFF-switch to OFF. First disconnect the
device from power, then disconnect the black terminal and last the red terminal.
In case of ground point = positive battery terminal:
■ Connect the black terminal to the negative battery terminal post.
■ Connect the red terminal to a blank spot of the car body with sufficient distance to fuel
pipes and battery.
■ Connect the unit to main power. Put the ON/OFF-switch to ON.
■ After having finished the charging put the ON/OFF-switch to OFF. First disconnect the
device from power, then disconnect the black terminal and last the red terminal.
Charging of a battery not connected to a vehicle:
■
Connect the red terminal to the positive battery terminal and the black terminal to the
negative battery terminal.
■
Connect the device to main power . Put the ON/OFF-switch to ON.
■
Put the ON/OFF-switch to OFF.
■
First disconnect the unit from main power, then the red terminal and at last the black
terminal.
USE IN CHARGE MODE (CF. PANEL)
Safety notes
■
Only use the device in well ventilated and dry indoor places.
■
Please remove the battery cell covers (if present) and check the liquid level. Refill with
distilled water if necessary. Please clean battery contact points and battery terminal
posts.
