Description
The signal repeater is used to increase/improve the range of the radio connection
between a control device and an actuation one, of the RF CHORUS series, due to an
excessive distance (over 100 m) or when structural obstacles cause areas of shadow
in transmitting the radio signal.
Each signal repeater can manage up to a maximum of 8 different connections
(control – actuator) among all the devices in the range.
Transmission key
Multifunction LED
The signal repeater is provided with a three-colored (yellow/red/green) multifunction
LED (B) to show the operating mode and a button on the front (A) for association
transmission. The module is powered at 230V.
A rotary switch is used to select the configuration, operational functioning, inhibition
and cancellation mode.
Connections can be made with several repeaters so as to cover long distances.
Configuration
Learn configuration
All that is required to learn a command is to turn the switch to position 0: the
multifunction LED becomes fixed red.
At this point the device that it is intended to combine must be set up according to the
description in the relative instruction sheet, so as to generate the required control
message: the multifunction LED becomes blinking green; the connection between
the control device and the signal repeater has thus been created.
Proceed as follows to create the connection between the signal repeater and the
required output module: set the switch of the output module to position 0 (fixed red
LED on) and press the association transmission (A) of the signal repeater. The
repeater's LED will become fixed green to show that the connection has been
created.
To make connections to several signal repeaters in succession, perform the above
procedure taking care to only set one repeater at a time in learning mode.
Cancel configuration
Turn the switch to position 9 to cancel all the combinations made: the multifunction
LED becomes blinking yellow to show that the operation is in progress.
The fixed yellow LED shows that the operation has been completed.

Operating
Operational functioning
The switch must be set to position 1 to activate the operation of the device.
In this mode the signal repeater receivs commands (coming from input devices such
as button pads, remote controls, etc.) and transfers them to the associated output
modules.
Inhibition
If it is required to inhibit the operation of the device (interruption of the set
connections), set the switch to position 2; in this case the LED becomes fixed green.
This function is used, for example, when it is required to make a connection with
control devices that already use a repeater, to prevent the retransmissions from this
latter from causing unwanted learning.
The previously set connections are restored on returning to operational functioning.
Signals
Learn configuration
Device waiting to learn a command: the LED becomes fixed red.
Device waiting to create a combination with an output module: the LED becomes
blinking green.
Connection with an output module made and repeater disabled: the LED becomes
fixed green.
Max. number of combinatios reached: the LED becomes blinking red.
Cancel configuration
Combination cancellation in progress: the LED becomes blinking yellow.
Cancellation complete: the LED becomes fixed yellow.
Regular functioning
Transmission in progress: the LED emits a green blink for each transmission in
progress.
Installation
WARNING: Before installation ensure that the repeater is receiving the
commands correctly and is communicating with the associated output
modules.
The signal repeaters have inset installation, using the special Chorus series supports.
The protection level can be maintained, even for installations other than inset (e.g. in
junction boxes) by using the terminal cover.
