To make connections with several signal repeaters in succession, carry out the
procedure listed above being careful to put only one repeater at a time into
learning mode.
Learning actuator function configuration
All that is required to learn a control to be paired with the repeater's internal relay is to
turn the switch to position 3: the multifunction LED becomes fixed red.
At this point it is necessary to intervene on the control device it is intended to pair, as
described in the relative instruction sheet, in such a way as to generate the required
control message: the red multifunction LED switches off for about 5 seconds showing
that the control has been received and stored.
Maximum n° of connections
When the maximum number of 16 input connections (freely divided between the
repeater and actuator function) is reached, the LED switches on blinking red, this signal
can be seen by setting the rotary switch to learning position "0" and "3".
Delete configuration
To delete all the pairings made, turn the switch to position 9: the multifunction LED
becomes blinking yellow showing that the operation is in progress.
The LED fixed yellow shows that the deletion has been completed.
It is not possible to make selective individual deletions.
Functioning
Operating functioning
To activate the functioning of the device it is essential to set the switch to
position 1, "repeater function operating mode", in this mode the signal repeater
receives controls (coming from input devices such as button pads, remote
controls, etc.) and transfers them to the paired output modules.
position 4-8, "repeater function + actuation operating mode", in this mode the
signal repeater receives controls (coming from RF transmitters such as button
pads, remote controls, etc.) and transfers them to the paired output modules, in
addition the internal relay contact closes respecting the selected function,
bistable or timed.
Inhibition
Should it be required to inhibit the functioning of the device (interruption of the set
connections), set the switch to position 2, in this case the LED becomes fast blinking
green. This function is used, for example, when it is required to make a connection
with control devices that already use a repeater, to prevent the retransmissions from
these latter from causing unwanted learning.
Returning to operating functioning restores the preset connections.
Signals
Front LED functioning
device in "repeater function operating mode" (rotary switch position 1):
• GREEN LED single ON blink: retransmission in progress
• GREEN LED off: no retransmission in progress
device in "repeater function + actuation operating mode" (rotary switch position
from 4 to 8):
• GREEN LED fixed on: output relay ON and no retransmission in progress
• GREEN LED off: output relay OFF and no retransmission in progress
• in this mode the retransmission is signalled by a single ON blink if the output relay
is OFF or a single OFF blink if the output relay is ON
device in "learning repeater function mode" (rotary switch position 0):
• RED LED fixed on: awaiting tract 1 connection (from transmitter to repeater)
• GREEN LED slow blinking: awaiting tract 2 connection (from repeater to actuator)
• GREEN LED fast blinking: connection concluded and repeater disabled
• RED LED blinking: fresh learning impossible (memory full)
device in "learning actuator function" (rotary switch position 3):
• RED LED fixed on: device awaiting to learn a control
• RED LED temporarily off (5 sec): the control has been received and stored
• RED LED blinking: fresh learning impossible (memory full)
device in "delete configurations" (rotary switch position 9):
• YELLOW LED blinking: awaiting start of deletion (for 10 sec)
• YELLOW LED fixed on: deletion completed
device in "standby mode" (rotary switch position 2):
• GREEN LED fast blinking
Front transmission KEY functioning:
device in "learning repeater function mode" (rotary switch position 0):
• pressing the front key causes a message to be transmitted for connecting tract 2
(from repeater to actuator module)
device in "standby mode" (rotary switch position 2) and "learning actuator function
mode" (rotary key position 3):
• the front key is disabled
device in "actuation operating mode + repeater function" (rotary switch position
from 4 to 8):
• output relay control in bistable/monostable/timed mode depending on the function
selected
Installation
WARNING: Before installation ensure that the repeater is receiving the
commands correctly and is communicating with the associated output
modules.
The signal repeaters have inset installation, using the special Chorus series supports.
The protection level can be maintained, even for installations other than inset (e.g. in
junction boxes) by using the terminal cover.
