Lower muffler by removing (3) rubber isolator hangers, (2) located near the end of the muffler and the remaining hanger forward
of the rear axle. Remove (2) rubber plugs from the trunk pan (if present).
2.
Remove 8mm bolt, located on the inside of the frame rail on the bulkhead, both sides of vehicle. Retain 8mm bolts for hitch
installation.
3.
Slide hitch above tailpipes with inner bumper straps sliding under fascia (Note: Care must be taken when sliding inner bumper
straps under fascia to prevent scratching). Reinstall the existing 8mm bolts, removed in step 2, loosely thru upright brackets.
4.
If vehicle bumper has a slots which line up with hole in inner bumper strap, proceed to step 5. If no slots exist, use hitch inner
bumper straps as a template to drill (2) ½" holes in vehicle bumper.
5.
Install carriage bolt and block (Item
slot/drilled hole in bumper and hitch. Install conical toothed washer and nut.
6.
Install hex bolt and block (Item
as a template to drill (2) ½" holes in trunk pan. Install fasteners as shown.
7.
Seal holes in trunk pan to prevent intrusion of exhaust fumes or water.
8.
Reinstall muffler, (3) places.
9.
Reinstall spare tire in trunk.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.

Tighten all ½-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb.-ft. (102 N*M)
Tighten all 8mm fasteners to 25 lb.-ft. (34 N*M)
