Safety notes
These safety notes are to be observed.
Installation, initial operation, maintenance and repairs have to
be carried out by authorised and qualified trade persons.
Installation notes
The transmission unit/pump circuit is supplied pre-assem-
bled. The compression fittings are to be ordered separately.
The transmission unit/pump circuit must always be mounted
at a lower level than the collectors so that no steam may pene-
trate the expansion tank in case of stagnation.
If the expansion tank is mounted at the same or at a higher
level than the transmission unit/pump circuit, a thermal insu-
lation loop is required. The installation has to be flushed with
fresh water after each draining operation.
The transmission unit/pump circuit is not suitable for direct
contact with swimming pool water.
Assembly notes
1.1 Remove transmission unit/pump circuit 1 from insulation.
To do so, pull off the front insulation 3 and draw apart the
back insulation shells 4 and 5.
1.2 For each wall mounting device 6 drill 8 mm holes at a dis-
tance of 262 mm. Fix transmission unit 1 using the wall
mounting device 6.
For pipe conduit 1 unclip the wall mounting device 6 and
fix it by screwing it onto the wall. Engage the pump circuit
1 with the wall mounting device 6.
1.3 Connect pipework of the solar circuit to the upper and
lower connection by use of the compression fittings.
When using soft and thin walled pipes, reinforcing sleeves
are to be used for the additional stabilisation of the pipe.
The ends of the pipe have to be cut at right angles and
have to be free of burrs. Introduce pipe until stop and
firmly tighten the compression fittings by using a spanner.
Hold firm while tightening.
1.4 Screw safety group 2 onto the ball valve. Mount discharging
pipe of the safety valve towards the collecting basin and
the connection pipe of the safety group 2 towards the ex-
pansion tank.
1.5 Lead cable of the pump downwards and connect to the
control unit according to the installation instructions of the
manufacturer of the solar energy installation.
1.6 Flush solar installation thoroughly, then fill it with solar liquid
and carry out leakage test. Adapt flow volume to the num-
ber of collectors or to the collector surface via the phases
of the circulation pump. If required, the fine adjustment is
carried out by using the ball valve of the flow measuring
device.
1.7 The back insulation shells 4 and 5 are pushed in from the
left and right hand side and the front insulation shell 3 is
pulled over it. The supply and return pipe are to be insu-
lated up to the thermal insulation.
