3.1. Work zone safety
▪ ENSURE THE WORK ZONE IS CLEAN AND PROPERLY
LIT AT ALL TIMES. Poorly lit or cluttered zones are sources of
accidents.
▪ DO NOT OPERATE THE TOOLS IN EXPLOSIVE ATMOS-
PHERES (FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS, GAS OR DUST). Power
tools produce sparks likely to ignite dust or smoke.
▪ KEEP CHILDREN AND ANY PERSON PRESENT AWAY
FROM THE WORK ZONE. Distraction may lead to losing con-
trol of the tool.
3.2. Electric safety
▪ DO NOT EXPOSE THE TOOLS TO RAIN OR HUMID CONDITIONS. Water penetrating the tool increases
the risk of electric shock.
▪ HE PLUG ON THE POWER TOOL MUST BE SUITED TO THE POWER OUTLET. NEVER MODIFY THE
PLUG IN ANY WAY. Non modified plugs and appropriate electric outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
▪ AVOID ANY CONTACT OF THE BODY WITH GROUNDED SURFACES SUCH AS PIPES, RADIATORS,
STOVES AND REFRIGERATORS. The risk of electric shock is higher if your body is grounded.
▪ DO NOT TAMPER WITH THE CORD. NEVER USE THE CORD TO CARRY, PULL OR DISCONNECT
THE TOOL. KEEP THE CORD AWAY FROM HEAT, LUBRICANT, SHARP EDGES OR MOVING PARTS.
Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
▪ WHEN USING A TOOL OUTDOORS, USE AN EXTENSION SUITED TO OUTDOOR USE. Using a cord
adapted to outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
▪ WHEN USING A TOOL IN A HUMID LOCATION IS INEVITABLE, USE A POWER SUPPLY PROTECTED
BY A RESIDUAL DIFFERENTIAL CURRENT DEVICE (RCD). Using an RDC protection reduces the risk of
electric shock.
3.3. Safety
▪ STAY VIGILANT, STAY FOCUSED, AND USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. DO NOT USE A TOOL WHEN
TIRED OR ON DRUGS, ALCOHOL, OR MEDICATION. A moment of distraction when using the tool may
cause severe injuries.
▪ USE SAFETY EQUIPMENT. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES. Safety devices such as dust masks,
non slip safety shoes, hard hats or hearing protections used for appropriate conditions will reduce any risk of
injury.
▪ AVOID ANY UNTIMELY STARTING. Carrying the tool with your finger on the trigger when in the running
position is a source of accidents.
▪ DO NOT RUSH. MAINTAIN AN APPROPRIATE POSITION AND BALANCE AT ALL TIMES. This ensures
better control of the tool in unexpected situations.
▪ DRESS APPROPRIATELY. DO NOT WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING OR JEWELRY. KEEP YOUR HAIR,
CLOTHING AND GLOVES AWAY FROM MOVING PARTS. Loose clothing, jewelry or long hair are likely to
be caught in moving parts.
▪ FORBID THE USE OF THE MACHINE TO CHILDREN OR UNTRAINED INDIVIDUALS. Using the ma-
chine without appropriate training may cause severe injuries.
▪ ALWAYS USE THE TOOL SUITED TO THE TASK AT HAND. Do not use the tools to ends not compliant
with its use.
3.4. Using the tool
• DO NOT USE THE CRIMPING MACHINE WITHOUT JAW. USING THE MACHINE WITHOUT JAW MAY
DAMAGE IT IRREVERSIBLY.
▪ USE THE TOOL SUITED TO YOUR APPLICATION. An appropriate tool will perform concrete work safely.
▪ DO NOT USE IF THE SWITCH DOES NOT ALLOW TO SWITCH FROM ON TO OFF AND VICE VERSA.
Any tool which cannot be commanded by the switch is dangerous, and must be repaired.
▪ STORE THE TOOLS IN SAFE, DRY AND CLOSED AREAS, OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT
ALLOW PERSONS NOT KNOWING THE TOOL OR THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO USE THEM. Tools are
dangerous between the hands of untrained users.
