Type 1. The supply should be connected to T1 (+ve) & T2 (-ve), loop out on T3 & T4 respectively.
Type 2. The supply should be connected to T1 (+ve) & T2 (-ve), loop out on T3 & T4 respectively. The initiate
supply should be connected to T5 (+ve / live) & T6 (-ve / neutral), loop out on T7 & T8 respectively.
Type 3. The supply should be connected to T1 (sounder +ve) & T2 (common -ve), loop out on T3 & T4 respec-
tively. The independent +ve supply for the beacon should be connected to T7, loop out on T8.
Type 4. The supply should be connected to T1 (common +ve), T2 (-ve) & T3 (-ve 2), loop out on T4, T5 & T6
respectively. Alternatively an EOL resistor can be connected to T4, T5 or T4, T6.
Type 5. The supply should be connected to T1 (+ve) & T2 (-ve), loop out on T3, T4 respectively. The initiate sup-
ply should be connected to T5 (+ve / live) & T6 (-ve / neutral), loop out on T7 & T8 respectively.
Type 6. The supply should be connected to T1 (sounder +ve), T2 (common -ve1) & T3 (common -ve2), loop out
on T4, T5 & T6 respectively. The independent +ve supply for the beacon should be connected to T7, loop out on
T8.
Type 7. The supply should be connected to T1 (L) & T2 (N), loop out on T3 & T4 respectively.
Type 8. The supply should be connected to T1 (L) & T2 (N), loop out on T3 & T4 respectively. The initiate supply
should be connected to T5 (+ve / live) T6 (-ve / neutral), loop out on T7 & T8 respectively.
Type 9. The supply for the sounder should be connected to T1 (L) & T2 (N), loop out on T3 & T4 respectively.
The supply for the beacon should be connected to T5 (L) & T6 (N), loop out on T7 & T8 respectively
3d. Tone Selection:
On the AC versions, the required tone is selected using the 5-way DIL switch mounted on the top face of the
xenon PCB assembly.
On the DC versions, tone 1 & tone 2 are selected using the two 5-way DIL switches (marked SW1 and SW2)
mounted on the top face of the xenon PCB assembly.
3e. Access to controls:
CAUTION: Before removing the cover assembly, ensure that the power to the unit is isolated.
The tone switches, volume control and flash rate selection (where available) can be accessed through the lens
cover assembly.
Unscrew the grub screw on the lens cover three full turns (2mm AF hexagon key required). Unscrew and
remove the lens cover. The tones can now be set using the DIL switches mounted on the PCB.
Once the required adjustments have been made, replace the cover using the same procedure as above but in
reverse manner. Ensure the cover is screwed down tightly such that the maximum gap between the cover and
enclosure is 0.2mm. Tighten down the grub screw on the lens cover to secure the cover assembly onto the body.
Ensure the o-ring is correctly seated during re-assembly.
Tones
The tone switch settings are shown in table 1.
