Replacement of the xenon tube:
CAUTION: Before removing the cover assembly, ensure that the power to the unit is isolated.
Unscrew the grub screw on the lens cover assembly three full turns (2.0mm AF hexagon key required). Unscrew
and remove the lens cover.
Remove the old tube assembly by unscrewing the terminal block screws. The replacement xenon tube can now
be fitted into the terminal block provided.
Note: legs of xenon tube may need to be trimmed to allow tube to be fitted to the correct height from the termi-
nal block (see figure 2):
Once the tube has been fitted, replace the cover using the same procedure as above but in reverse manner. En-
sure the cover is screwed down tightly such that the maximum gap between the cover and enclosure is 0.2mm.
Tighten down the grub screw on the lens cover to secure the cover assembly onto the body. Ensure the o-ring is
correctly seated during re-assembly.
5. SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR SAFE USE
1. Painting and surface finishes, other than those applied by the manufacturer are not permitted.
2. Not more than one single or multiple strand lead shall be connected into either side of any terminal, unless
multiple conductors have been joined in a suitable manner, e.g. two conductors into a single insulated crimped
boot lace ferrule.
3. Leads connected to the terminals shall be insulated for the appropriate voltage and this insulation shall extend
to within 1mm of the metal of the terminal throat.
4. All terminal screws, used and unused, shall be fully tightened down.
5. Minimum creepage and clearance distances between the terminals and adjacent conductive parts (including
cable entry devices) must be at least 5mm.
6. Any cable entry devices or stopping plugs shall be selected and installed to maintain a minimum (IP54) integrity
of the enclosure.
