STARTING AND STOPPING
The computer is activated either when one of the keys is pressed or when pedalling commences. The computer
operates on 'AUTO-OFF', that is it will switch off automatically after it has not been used for 4 minutes.
RESET TO ZERO
To reset all the functions to zero, press and hold the RESET (4) key.
PROGRAMMING TRAINING DATA
Before starting to exercise it is possible to programme certain data into the computer: exercise Time in minutes,
the Distance to cover (in 100 metre increments), and the maximum number of heartbeats in number of
heartbeats. To programme the computer, activate the computer by pressing one of the keys and select the
information to programme by pressing on one of the two 'ZOOM' keys (3).
The top ZOOM key accesses the top row (programming of Time), the lower ZOOM key accesses the bottom row
(programming of the Distance and the maximum number of heartbeats). The selected function will flash.
After this, press the '+' or '-' (2) key until the correct figure is obtained.
A 'beep' sound will indicate when the programme has been completed.
HEARTBEAT
NOTE: rub the earlobe vigorously before attaching ear sensor 'A'.
Clip 'B' must be fixed onto the collar to ensure that the wire connecting 'A' to 'B' moves as little as possible.
RECOVERY TIME
After a cardiovascular effort, a rapid slowing down of the heartbeat rate indicates a good physical condition.
After you have finished exercising, press the 'RECOVERY' (5) key without stopping the heartbeat function: the
small 'STOP' symbol at the top left of the display will switch off and the computer will then record your heartbeat
for one minute. After calculating the rate the computer will award a mark ranging from F1 to F6 (F1 = very good,
F6= unsatisfactory), thus providing an assessment of the physical condition of the user.
WARNING
- Sweat is corrosive and should be wiped away immediately.
