Thermal Binder 260
Thermal binding operation
Insert the plug into power socket.

Turn on the power switch ( I

( ) will light up on the operating panel. After heating up
for 10 minutes, the green 'ready indicator' ( ) will light up
with an audible signal. The machine is now ready to bind.
Select a suitable thermal binding cover. Choose a cover

with a paper capacity equal or greater than the number of
sheets that you wish to bind. Insert your document into the
thermal cover, ensure that the sheets are neatly aligned.
Place the thermal cover into the heating channel (Picture

1) and press the 'Bind' button ( ) (Picture 2). The red
'wait indicator' ( ) will light up, indicating that the
document is being bound. After about 30 seconds, the
'green indicator' will light up & there will be an audible
signal. Remove the cover from the heating channel. Press
the spine together, to spread the glue within the cover.

Operation of this machine is guaranteed for one year from date
of purchase, subject to normal use. Within the guarantee
period, GBC will at its own discretion either repair or replace the
defective machine free of charge. Defects due to misuse or use
for inappropriate purposes are not covered under the guarantee.

CAUTION: the cover will be warm, you may wish to use a
cloth to protect your fingers (Picture 3). Now place the
thermal cover into the cooling channel for 1 minute. This
allows the glue to cool and harden, forming a perfectly
bound document (Picture 4).
With thinner documents, several documents can be bound

simultaneously, if required. Simply insert them together in
the heating channel and operate the machine as in steps
3 & 4.
After use turn of the machine and remove the plug from

the socket.
