To guarantee safety and correct use, is necessary to read these
instructions. Possible damages made by an improper use of the
machine are not imputable to the producer.
SUITABLE BATTERIES
TYPE: LEAD.
Voltage: 6V or 12V or 24V (depends on the data plate).
INSTALLATION
To guarantee the maximum safety, the installation must be performs
as pointed out by the producer. Every intervent on the device must
be done from competent and authorized employers, before you have
to disconnect the feeding and the battery cable. Removed the
packing, to check the machine's integrity; in case of doubt don't use
and consult the supplier. The places where the recharge of batteries
is effected must be ventilates and the temperature environment has
to be inclusive between 0° and 40° C. Therefore don't obstruct the
openings of ventilation with cloths and to leave at least 5 cm for side
from possible walls. The device has to be connected to the electric
net foreseen by the data plate. The net must have provided of earth
plug.
SIMULTANEOUS CHARGING OF SEVERAL BATTERIES
If you have to charge more than one battery simultaneously, you can
connect them in series or in parallel. Of the two systems, connection
in series is preferable, as in this way you can check the current in
each battery.
CAR BATTERY CHARGE
1.
After to have disconnected the positive terminal of the battery of
the car, to connect the red clamp (positive) to the positive
terminal of the battery and, successively, the black clamp
(negative) to the negative terminal of the battery (the negative
terminal of the battery is connected to the vehicle chassis).
Is preferable to remove the battery from the compartment of the
car.
2.
Connect the primary cable to a socket to 230 V.
3.
After the charge disconnect the battery charger from the feed net
and take off the chassis connection first and after the battery
connections.
The length of charge can approximately be worked out by deviding
the capacity in amps per hour of the battery by the charge current I
For instance for a battery of 80Ah capacity and with I

SAFETY RULES

For the operator's safety we recommend as follows:
1)
Before starting the charge, read the instructions carefully.
2)

disconnecting the connections from the battery.
3)
CAUTION ! Avoid sparks or flames as gases in the vicinity
can be explosive.
4)
To ensure protection against indirect contacts, connect the
device only to a socket having an earth connection.
5)
Do not set in the rain or snow.

have: 80/10 = 8 hours charging time.
Don't lay the battery charger on the vehicle battery during the charge
and avoid making rubbings between (+) and (-) clamps to checkup
the functioning of the battery charger (this operation may switch on
the thermic protection or cause damages to the machine).
OPERATION
Set charge voltage adapting it to the battery voltage, switching the
6/12V or 12/24V switch (if present).
The setting of the charge, on the contrary, is to be set through the
MIN/MAX switches (if present), MAX for a new battery, MIN foran old
one.
SPECIAL SIGNALS
THERMAL PROTECTION
When the thermal protection is activated, the charge is interrupted. In
order to restore the charge process, waiting few minutestime for
cooling and push the button on the front panel with the "push to
reset" written.
INVERSION OF POLARITY PROTECTION
The device is protected against the polarity inversion during the
connection between the clamps and the battery. In case of
mistakethe charge shall interrupt. In order to restore the charge
process, connect the cables correctly and push the button on the
frontpanel with the written "push to reset".
GENERAL RECOMMENDATION
-
Do never unload completely the battery (maximum 80%) so that
to lengthen its life. To maintain well cleaned from oxidation the
battery connections. The possible change of the feeding cable,
must be done from competent and authorized employers.
In case of malfunction, carry out the following :
1)
Ensure that the clamps are connected to the correct and
appropriates terminals ;
2)
See that the mains plug is properly connected and wired.
3)
Check that the charger-starter's thermostatic protection has
not switched on.
If problems persists, contact a qualified technician.
SERVICE
The battery charger doesn't need any service. For ordinary cleaning
use wet rag.
