USING THE BASSINET/CARRYCOT INDEPENDENTLY

16. Never use the bassinet/carrycot on a stand.
17. Only use on a firm, horizontal level and dry surface. Never use on soft
surfaces.
18. Suffocation Hazard: bassinet/carrycot can roll over on soft surfaces and
suffocate child. NEVER place carrier on bed, sofa, or other soft surface.
19. Do not let other children play unattended near the bassinet/carrycot.
20. Do not leave flexible carrying handles inside the bassinet/carrycot.
21. NEVER use the bassinet/carricot as means to transport an infant in a
motor vehicle.
22. Fall Hazard: Child's activity can move bassinet/carrycot. NEVER place
bassinet/carrycot on counter top, table or any other elevated surface.
23. The bassinet/carrycot is not intended for use by children older than 6
months or children who can sit unaided.
24. The bassinet/carrycot is suitable only for a child who cannot sit up
unaided, roll over and cannot push itself up on its hands and knees.
Maximum weight of the child is 9 kg (20 lbs), maximum age 6 months,
whichever comes first.
25. The bassinet is not intended for prolonged periods of sleeping. Should
your child need to sleep, then it should be placed in a suitable pram
body, cot or bed.
26. Strings can cause strangulation! Do not place items with a string
around a child's neck, such as hood strings or pacifier cords. Do not
suspend strings over a bassinet/carrycot or cradle or attach strings to
toys.
27. SUFFOCATION HAZARD:
Infants can suffocate:
- In gaps between an extra pad and the side of the bassinet.
- On soft bedding. NEVER add a mattress, pillow, comforter, or
padding. Use ONLY the pad provided by manufacturer.
28. To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend healthy infants
be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your
physician.
