Fitting the Harting connector on the chain hoist

To connect the control cable with vulcanised strain relief wire cords, proceed as
follows, see Fig. 1:
• Undo the four recessed head screws (4) and remove rear part (2) of the housing.
• Remove housing cap (3).
• Loosen RJ (D) plug connection from the board, replace items A-C by items 4, 7
and 10; item D is eliminated.
• Cut off protective sleeve (4) as required for the relevant control cable diameter.
• Push protective sleeve (4) onto control cable (5). Use lubricant (e.g. washing-up
liquid).
• Separate vulcanised strain relief wire cords (6) from control cable (5) (fi g. 3).
• Push tube clip (8) up to strain relief wire cords (6) and control cable (5).
• Undo the two recessed head screws (13) of pressure sleeve (7).
• Push pressure sleeve (7) onto control cable (5) (fi g. 1).
• Slide control cable (5) through washer (9) and sealing ring (10).
The sealing washers and the sealing rings are assigned to the corresponding
control cable diameter in accordance with table 1.
• Strip insulation from the end of the control cable (fi g. 2). Pay attention to the
mounting dimensions.

• Pull conductors into front part (11) of the housing.
• Slide washer (10), sealing ring (9) and pressure sleeve (7) down to the front
part (11) of the housing.
• Tighten the two recessed head screws (13).
• Strip insulation of strain relief wire cords (6) (fi g. 1).
• Shorten strain relief wire cords (6) (fi g. 1) and insert on the side into the groove
of pressure sleeve (7).
• Fix strain relief wire cords with tube clip (8) (fi g. 1).
• Connect conductors in accordance with the assignment diagram.
• Push protective sleeve (4) onto pressure sleeve (7). The protective sleeve is
fl ush with the pressure sleeve fl ange.
• Fit housing cap (3).
• Screw rear part (2) of the housing back onto front part (11) of the housing.
• Finally fi t bumper (12) (see section 4).
